SUMMER TERM 2026 - LAST DAY of TERM Sunday 12th July
AUTUMN TERM 2026 DATES Monday 14th SEPTEMBER - Sunday 13th DECEMBER - There are no regular after school classes on week commencing Monday 19th October to Sunday 1st November inclusive because of Half Term - (note there are no weekend classes on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October and Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November but there are weekend classes on Saturday 1th October and Sunday 18th October).
COURSE DESCRIPTION Students come once per week during the term time, either after school or at the weekend. Student numbers are limited so that students receive a high level of individual attention. There are normally 4 tutors in each session and each student will have his own easel and still life or art project. The classes are taught on a one-on-one basis rather than in a group and the focus is on learning to draw and paint from observation. Please see a more detailed course description when you click on a session time below.
TIMINGS - AFTER SCHOOL For the after school sessions, students may arrive any time between 4 pm and 4 30 pm, as often schools get out at different times.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Classes are not refundable. Exceptionally, a one off make up for a missed class may be organised at an alternative term time session, on a best efforts basis depending on availability but only in the term the class is missed (no carry overs are permitted and make ups are not guaranteed). |

The Tuesday evening classes give the opportunity for teenagers 13 years and above to work on their drawing and painting skills in a relaxed environment. This class would be an ideal time for GCSE and A Level students to work on course work, especially for those students not returning home from school in time for the after school classes. There are a wealth of resources, materials and a well stocked library at the studio at the disposal of students. Experienced tutors are focused on supporting a diverse range of projects.
All levels are welcome as the class is taught on an individual basis but students must be turning 13 or above (year 8 and above) to be included in the class.
The Tuesday evening class will focus on drawing and painting, portraiture and still life observational work. When possible life drawing sessions will be incorporated into the term classes. Additionally, students will be exposed to collage, oils and a more advanced use of materials and techniques.
