Stephanie Villalba is the founder and Director of Chelsea Fine Arts. Stephanie is Spanish and American and has lived in London since 2001.

Stephanie has been immersed in the art world from birth due to a family heritage replete with a long line of famous artists and architects.

Stephanie went to secondary school at Benenden School (’79) in England. She studied history of art and fine arts at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris in 1980 and earned her BA Degree from Smith College in the United States. After raising three children, she went back to art school to refresh her qualifications in painting and drawing at Heatherley’s School of Fine Arts in London in 2007.

Her artistic family background and international experience have given her access and connections in the art world which underpin Chelsea Fine Arts’ strengths in developing artistic talent in young people.

Stephanie is dedicated to teaching drawing and painting and to developing artistic talent in young people. She is the primary art tutor at Chelsea Fine Arts.

Visiting Tutors for Specialised Classes

Periodically Stephanie will  invite guest artists and tutors from the London Art Schools and Colleges such as The Cortauld Institute of Art,  Heatherley’s School of Fine Arts and others.  These tutors will  bring their expertise to a specialised class – this could be a specific area of art history (eg sculpture) or an art technique not covered in the general course description (eg: printing, glazing, photography, making your own canvas, framing your works). Visiting tutors and any specialised classes will be announced on the website for those who are interested.

Exhibitions, Talks and Guided Tours

As one of the leading art centres of the world, London is inundated with exhibitions, galleries and museums. From time to time, Stephanie will invite an expert to conduct a guided tour of an exhibition or of a permanent collection. Details will be posted on the website.
